Toronto Azure Community Meetup - February

10:30 下午 - 1:00 上午 (UTC)

This event is now closed for registration Presentation #1: Git tips and tricks from the field Git can be challenging, and mistakes are almost inevitable. When something goes wrong, fixing it often feels like an uphill battle—especially when Git’s documentation assumes you already know the exact terminology for your issue. In this practical session, Max will demystify Git by sharing tried-and-true tips and tricks from real-world experience. You’ll learn how to reset local work, recover from committing to the wrong branch, rename files or branches, manage commits across branches, clean up unwanted changes, simplify merges, recover orphaned commits, effectively use stashing, and streamline your workflow with aliases. Packed with actionable solutions, this session will equip you with the tools to take control of Git and avoid frustration in the future. Presentation #2: Azure AI Foundry - choosing the right AI tools Since OpenAI pushed itself into our daily conversation with Chat GPT, the GPT family of models became the default way to use AI tools, even when it's not the best way to go. And let's face it: Microsoft wasn't the best in marketing the available models and tools. They went all the way from creating a dedicated portal just for OpenAI, to launching an additional Azure AI Studio portal, and now introducing yet another platform - Azure AI Foundry. Let's make some order out of this mess! Join me in this session to better understand how Azure AI Foundry is trying to fix everything. We will explore the Azure AI Foundry Portal, which provides a centralized place to manage AI projects and gives quick access to all available AI tools that Microsoft supports. And then, we can move into the fun part - coding! We will check the SDK capabilities, which allow you to authenticate once and use the available AI tools in your project. By the end of this session, we will have a real AI project in Azure AI Foundry and we will (with the help of demo gods) live code against that project, using Azure AI Foundry SDK to build something practical and exciting with it. Presentation #3: GenAI Gateway in Azure API Management Discover how Azure API Management enhances the management of generative AI APIs with advanced policies, metrics, and features and learn how these GenAI gateway capabilities improve the security and performance of your intelligent apps.
